Learning Tarot but very Confused....
Are you Learning Tarot right now and so confused about all the different meanings to each card?
The First step, is to look at the cards and write down one or two keywords that seem to fit the picture... Look at the basic keywords for that card in the LWB and pick two that seem to fit the card, that resonate .. Using those keywords expand your words as though you were explaining them to a Querant (Person asking for the reading)
Ask a question about Love? Using those keywords answer the question...
Ask a Question about a career, job? Use those keywords to answer the question..
Ask about finances, money health? Use those keywords to answer the question.
Keep the answer in context...
Check what others say about that card, and choose one or two keywords that resonate about that card.. keep it simple ... so when you go through your cards you can connect with several keywords about that card... Keep the meanings about the cards as simple as you can, symbolically ....
Be careful when you are starting out not to get too wound up about trying to be too specific about the cards... keep your meanings as symbolic as you can ... it allows for clarity, a connection to what is of value to the client (Querant) .. Unless you are using Clairvoyance and other psychic abilities... trust the keywords you have chosen for each card will reveal the message the Querant needs... The person you are reading for...

Be careful about the meanings of the words you use ... it can change a persons life by the words you use. Some people take a reading as gospel, as life changing, as the way to do things... They take your guidance literally .... Remember even if you clearly think you see something literally happening, the vision, could be symbolic....
A death- could mean transformation, or things ending on some level..or a death related to someone else close by.... ( I had a girl brought to me by her partner. She had been petrified for the last few months, she had been told by a reader she would die in a car accident, death would be imminent in her journey by the time she was 20.... a couple of weeks before her 20th her partner had had enough of this and brought her to me- it was discovered that just before her 20th birthday- her life would change incredibly through some major transformations, there would be some endings to the past - later on I discovered that she had received an inheritance because an Aunt had passed away due to an accident and it was life changing for her, because of the inheritance was more than she ever knew existed.)
Another Example - My Aunt and her friends had been drinking, a friend pulled out her Tarot cards and pulled the Death card for my Aunt.... The question related to her retirement, so the friend mentioned she would need to be careful as Death was possible by the time of her retirement 65 ....
After awhile with her Stressing about it, My Mum came to me and told me what had happened, I sat there mouth open for a min before I replied .. Death means transformations, things ending and decaying, things dying .. not the person but aspects or things around them ... There will be major changes ... think about it at retirement , things do change .... Once with that explanation My Aunt got on with her life much happier, she reached 65 and found her life had changed. there were changes within a relationship, changes within her job... There was a shift within herself and how she saw things around her..... She is now in her 70s.... and still going strong, living life to the fullest ..... busy everyday, active ....
An illness, recommend they see a Doctor and get checked out ....Be careful do not diagnose ....
An accident, warning them to be aware of self on some level on how they act..but do get dramatic ....
.. A pregnancy- or a baby, a birth of something new- could be a new adventure, a new project .... A baby- could mean someone else being pregnant but they will be around the baby when it is born..... (eg- a young girl went to a reader, she was told she was pregnant and so the decision to abort the baby was of value to her if she wanted to move forward on her life- she was super upset, her friend who had had a reading from me- brought her to me ..... I looked into the cards and discovered it was not her that was pregnant but someone who was close to her... and she was not to worry.... it was discovered later on her sister was pregnant and had been deciding whether to keep it or not and everything was good .... the sister kept the baby and everything was positive..)
You can see the value of being careful which words are used ....
This is from my own personal experiences and journey through Tarot ... I have learnt the best way that works for me is to keep a few keywords for each card depending on the deck used, so the best answers for your client, Querant, are clear and not waffly .... They are not all Fluff but they are also not dis-empowering to the Querant... They do not promote fear but hope and love and light .... I understand Death will come to all of us and maybe times of illness and we may have an accident on some level... and maybe yes .. some young girls may get pregnant at some stage and have to make some difficult decisions .... but is it really up to us as readers to scare our clients, to dis-empower them, to make them fearful of living ... or must we as readers give The Querants hope, love and the vision to manifest their own reality ?
Think carefully which Keywords you will use for each card.... and use them with clarity when doing a reading .... I understand each card as a myriad of meanings depending on the question, the position of the card and the surrounding cards used in a reading, the deck will change the meaning of the card. The Colours, the feelings, the characters, the symbols will all adjust the meaning of the cards... Look at the cards as symbolic with the situation, the issue.... and find clarity within for the Querant....
You will discover different Readers will have different meanings for the cards, different decks used, each LWB will have different meanings.. The different systems will have different meanings.... Find what resonates... and choose a few keywords you can expand on ....
Do not try to get to complicated with all the meanings available , it makes a reading foggy ....
With so many possible answers with a single card.... it can really confuse a Querant if you share all the meanings available .... Keep it Simple!
