A Runic Journey ....

This is a very slow process as I discover there are so many different aspects to Runes ... 

 To know more about Runes I suggest you do your own study and learning .... and read some of the Books I suggest or check online .... My Info is very brief at this time ... 

There are Germanic Runes The 24 Runes we normally see in a Rune Set  either of Wood or Crystals that you can purchase or create yourself ...  The 25th Rune The Blank Rune has been added when Runes were coming back into use for Divination,......

Other Runes are Anglo Saxon- approx 33 Runes are used as a Written Language on some level ....
Norse Runes (Viking) were approx 16 Runes ... Used In written language not by everyday people but those who were specifically Rune Masters.

All over the World you will find Runes written on Stone, Swords, armory etc  This was also written as a form of Magic for Spellwork and in Healing  - Yet To Be Explored Further .... I  have purchased a variety of Books that include The Divination meanings of the Runes... The Runes carry the different names from the different languages.... and the meanings may slightly differ...

  This Book is one of the best basic Rune Books I have seen .... 
Another Book I quite like the Info is from the Handl Rune Oracle ....(I don't have the deck but I do have the book to read .... ) 



 Other Runic Topics I want to explore are Runic Astrology and Healing with Runes .....


Other Divination, Fortune Telling type Books Encyclopedias normally have a small amount of Rune info to help you learn Runes ... Also there are plenty of websites and Blogs that have Runic Information .. One thing I suggest take a notebook to write down the information that resonates with you ....



There are some amazing Rune Oracle decks and also Oracle decks that may include Runes within it Such as The Viking's Oracle by Stacey Demarco ... 
Stacey has Included the Germanic Runes in this deck as in the the 24 Runes plus a 25th Rune plus Norse Gods and Goddesses and aspects of Norse Mythology ...

I have researched and discovered Each Rune has so much information when you look at a variety of books.. To truly learn how to use the Runes in Divination I discovered the best way to learn is to choose KEYWORDS for each Rune ...and soon  you will find you are able to Read the Runes for Divination, in a reading ....

eg.. Fehu- speaks of Fertility Security and harmony
Uruz- speaks of Power, Energy and Force
Thursaz reminds us to act with caution, with strength
Ansuz tells us we have gained wisdom in our journey and we must communicate clearly what we have learnt.
Raidho tells us we have traveled a long journey and maybe we still have a long road ahead of us at this time ....

There are many ways to read this Spread.. Trust in how you choose to read it . This is one variation ...  Let us begin  by looking at the centre card 1) The Rider - News .. there is some news on it's way, what type of News, let's see what the other cards say, to modify the card related to the News ...  We look to the Left and we see Letter - so we know the news may be written .. The Way I Connect with the Cards, the messages as individuals for each person. Knowing that each person is so different from another... I understand that everyone is different, All Readers read differently. They may use tools or no  tools . They may use Cards, Runes, I-Ching, Tea-leaves, palms and crystals.. You may even find a reader that connects with jewelry. There are so many ways a reader will read for a client. Each Deck is so Different .. There are many different Tarot decks designed by many different amazing individuals… Every deck is perfect in it’s own way… Some images speak louder than others, that is because we as readers are all very different, we are individuals that like and are drawn to different artwork… Also our thoughts processors are individualized.  Our perceptions are individualized.  No one sees the same image in the same card. Different colours, characters, symbols stand out for each of us. That is why you will find different Tarot readers deliver the same messages in a different way.  And sometimes it can take awhile to make sense of a reading.. Today's Reading I decided to use Mists of Avalon for some reflection and used a Five card spread from the Guide Book ... I shuffled and Laid out the cards in the spread.... 1) Present Situation - The Isle of Avalon 2) The Past- Igraine 3) The Future Cerridwen 4) Hidden Influences- Priestess of Avalon 5) Possible Outcome - Nimue  My Summary   comes from the Words that stood out from around the card... Each card has four words relating to it on the card itself.  We look at what is happening right now, as we sense a period of resting and renewal, a healing from within...
